First Post…

This is my first, second, no wait, third attempt at hosting my own blog. The first two blogs were doomed to fail because they violated the 1^st rule of blogging: It can’t be forced. The average person just can’t say “I want a blog,” then write five posts on X, Y, and Z topics and expect the world to flood into their website, leaving a trail of comments in their dust. For someone who is Already Famous, this process can be lightning quick, but it still takes time. I‘m certain that on some level I fell prey to this naïve impression. Twice.

I promise that this time will be different. I’ve found my voice.

This new found voice is theoretical at best right now, since one can’t actually have a voice until one starts speaking. But here’s the deal I make with myself (and any future readers) I know that no one will care right off. I’m willing to accept the possibility that no one will ever care what I think. But I’m just going to speak write anyways. If anything this will end up as a [public] thought journal for me. A journal is an asset to any aspiring intellectual. Journals allow our future selves to remember what it was we were thinking about way back when.

So here goes nothing…
